Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into an ethnically diverse family. Her father is Nigerian-Swiss and her mother is English. She grew on the south London council estate, and at the age of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. In London, she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting degree was obtained. She performed in various stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career through the film Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. She then appeared in Elisha on an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie in six episodes each in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's role on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on both series 2 and 3. Madekwe starred in the 2008 Comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her stage credits are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams and Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe debuted in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program was telecast on The CW for only two episodes, before it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. The departure of Madekwe from the show was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as a main character, she appeared as a guest in the first episode of season 3. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe got married to her long-time love, Iddo. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Her four older brothers were also present and included twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the summer and winter. They grew up playing stadiums and played baseball. Ashley was never a walker, she was a dancer, and at the age of 2 1/2 years old she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing after she started the Baby Ballet. After graduating from high school, Ashley danced competitively in the highest divisions of tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. Ashley was awarded the best soloist awards at all of the most prestigious dance competitions like, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
